LG: I decided to create my own label Down And Out Records back in 1996. I grew up on food stamps, standing in line waiting for Governent cheese and powdered milk.
anCor : What challenges do you face having your own record label?
LG: People always say “It takes money to make money” and not having enough money has always been a challenge for a lot of people.
Some people let things like challenges stop their visions and dreams, yes not having enough money to back my dreams is hard but hustlin and grindin hard is in my blood, I’d rather take 18 trackz put together an album cover, hit up Office depot or Big Lots and buy a 50 bundle of CDs for $10 Hit the streetz and sell every CD for 5buckz….. At the end of the day for a week straight 365days a year……nuthin became somethin. It’s called staying on ya grind!
